 This limited edition Water lily latte cup and saucer is hand painted by a local artist in Yingge, the capital town of pottery in Taiwan, and made by Tai-Hwa.

On these cups, the water lily design is often times used by artists to represent nobility, elegance, and loyalty. As a staple in ink wash paintings, water lily is commonly seen in art pieces from ancient Asian countries. It is ideal for tea, and we love it for a cup of Flat White as well.

The square shaped saucer, holding the cup, gives the set a contemporary feel. It can also be further used in a myriad of other functions, including as a dish for sweets or as  a tasteful decoration on its own. 

Tai-Hwa, one of the leading potteries in Taiwan, is known as the "Palace Museum at Yingge" and dubbed as "Official Kiln". Their products have been the first choice for official gifts giving, and its exquisite tablewares being used in many state banquets since 1988.
